Stylized UE5 Demo with VRoid Character
For my final project, I created a step-by-step tutorial demonstrating how to import and set up a VRoid character as a playable third-person character in Unreal Engine 5. This workflow by using VRoid Studio, the VRM plugin, and UE5’s Game Mode which was not covered in class, so I chose it to explore stylized character integration in real-time environments. The process includes exporting the model in T-pose, importing it into UE5, replacing the default mannequin, and adjusting the CapsuleComponent for proper scale and collision. I also used Max Hay’s Fantasy Kitbash assets in Blender to build a custom environment that enhances the storytelling. The result is a fully functional anime-style character inside a fantasy themed third-person game template.
